After spending a lovely weekend in NYC with my friend shopping, case eating and ordering room service, I flew to Milan and arrived on Monday at midday to shoot an editorial for D'Republica Magazine the following morning. Of course, being in Milan, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to link up with one of my good friends- Frederico, my driver from Milan Fashion Week! We went to eat but at such a bad time that all the amazing restaurants were actually closed until dinner service so we ended up eating a crap pasta but it was just nice to catch up! photo-48 The next day was the day of the shoot and it was a 10 page spread meaning ten looks and I just loved the fact that the store was based on colour as Im always in black white or grey when I dress! The team was great and the photographer Johan and I worked well together because he wanted me to move around and create shapes which is what I enjoy the most with my high level of energy!

After the shoot was finished I headed to the airport, tired from my travels but so excited to see my friends and family! Haven't got a single christmas present or card or anything so this week is going to be me fighting for the last toy for my cousins and younger brothers and finding the random bits that my mum has asked for on her list! One thing I love after coming home from my travels is coming home to packages of things I ordered whilst away. I entered my room to find a big box from Eastpak containing my one off backpack from their Artist Studio collection where they collaborated with 56 creatives from 14 different countries to project their vision on to the classic Eastpak back pack with sales going towards the Designers Against Aids charity organisation. My favourite blogger Ivania Carpio created this beautiful minimalist backpack by removing the front pocket and placing it inside the bag then adding a clear perspex back. Ivania concept for the bag was amazing as she wanted "it to be about exposure and concealment, more about with the disease of aids in mind which is often an invisible problem" and I feel that this bag embodied her vision perfectly.

The purchase came with a beautiful book 'Designers Against Aids' which I can't wait to read through properly... check out all of the Eastpak back packs here and Ivania Carpio's blog, Love Aesthetics.
