Over the past few months I have been flying to all the fashion capitals for fashion week but last week I flew to another which is not on the fashion week schedule; Dubai. Dubai is home to some of the most wealthy and fashion conscious elite and Vogue Italia hosted their very first fashion night out in the middle east and I was one of the models in their show held in the infamous Dubai Mall. photo 1 photo 2 There were 25 models and we all stayed at the beautiful Vida Hotel in downtown Dubai and the following morning we got a coach to the Armani Hotel which is inside the Burge Khalifa, order the tallest building in the world. Although it was around 33 degrees outside in Dubai. all of us models (well the smart ones lol) were wearing jackets or jeans or both in my case because we were meant to be inside for most of the day and their air con system is icy cold. We had our fitting from 11-4:30pm and were meant to stay inside until 1am for rehearsals (the mall only closes off to the public at 11pm) but fortunately we were allowed to go back to the hotel and enjoy a few hours by the pool. photo 3 photo 5 photo 4 photo 1 photo 4 photo 3 On the day of the show we had a lot of time to get ready and wifi and food aka my dream way to prepare for a job so everyone was relaxed before the build up to the event which would be watched by approximately 300,000 people who all came to the mall to enjoy the fashion night out festivities. Designers show casing at the event included one of my personal favourites, Simone Rocha and the audience boosted pure fashion excellence from the D Squared twins to Franca Sozzani so I was really excited to be apart of the first fashion night out in the Middle East. photo 2 photo 1 photo 2 Over the past few months I have been flying to all the fashion capitals for fashion week but last week I flew to another which is not on the fashion week schedule; Dubai. To celebrate the launch of designer Chloe's retrospective book, advice  Chloe Attitudes, a beautiful cocktail party was hosted by the brands director, Claire Waight Keller, at the Sackler Gallery attached to the Serpentine. I worked closely with the team at Chloe as I walked their show this season so it was nice to see everyone outside of the craziness that is Fashion Week. models including Lara Mullen and Hannah Hollman from my agency came as well as my lovely bookers and PR so it was a nice event to catch up and lets not mention the delicious, forrest themed canapés and the open bar. I had such a great night and the book is filled with beautiful images, past and present of the iconic fashion house.
