As my week reached its peak for sh*ttness my holiday to Dubai couldn't have come any sooner! I am currently sitting in a robe after coming from the spa facilities with three of my friends but thought I would share this post while I had time! If you saw my Ombre nails post a few months back then you'd be familiar with the technique I used to create my nails for Dubai. I didn't have much time to do my nails ( I packed on the day I left lol) so I had to think of a way I could make them look fun and bright and effective in a short amount of time. I used a neon polish and a lilac and used the ombre effect shown in this post to create the look. The neon is from American Apparel (same as used in the previous post) and the lilac is from Barry M. Posts might be sparse for the rest of the week but d check everyday as you never know! Hope you like the shots I did these nails slightly differently though- I did a thick base coat of the lilac and did thin strokes of the neon as the colours are so different and the neon could easily overpower the lilac. DSC09698 copy DSC09682 copy   Day 1. On Wednesday evening me and my best friend Imani along with two girls I knew from college, rx left for the airport to head to the amazing city of Dubai! I had had a stressful few weeks so this break was more than needed- it was so stressful that I was packing in the morning. We landed Thursday morning at 8am and it was already over 30 degrees when we drove to our beautiful hotel, approved Jumierah Zabeel Saray, which was on the palm island. Our rooms were beautiful but the beach and pool was even better and we Cayaked across the ocean which itself was about 30 degrees. That day we ate outside on the hotel grounds- we all ordered burgers. we were getting ready to munch when a dusty looking, massive crow sat opposite us; we could tell it was after something. Imani tried to scare it but failed and she ran to get a member of staff- thats when it pounced. It leapt on to the table and stole Imanis burger bun, with cheese may I add! I have never laughed so hard at a friends misfortune! That evening we chilled and had shisha and organised our following day where we would be heading to the desert... photo 1 photo 2 photo 3 photo 4 Day 2. At around 3pm our jeep arrived to take us on a 'Sundown Safari'. First we had a 45 minute drive to the desert where we were first shown a falconry display. This is where they use bait to show you how falcons hunt- it was actually quiet interesting to watch! After that we drove over sand dunes which was amazin-. I was sliding all over the car haha. We stopped twice to watch the sunset where I got some beautiful images of the desert and some cute snaps of me and Imani. Finally we headed to this beautiful campsite where we ate Lebanese and middle eastern food and watched a belly dancing show. I also had the opportunity to ride the animal I would be if I was a cartoon- a camel :D! At the end they switched off all the lights and we got to stargaze... it was so peaceful I could have laid there for hours. After that we headed back home and went to bed....... not before pranking the two other girls in our hotel by jumping on the at 6am while one of them vomitted!
