Today was my first day off in a while so I chilled out, cure clinic did some stuff for my blog and painted my nail! I was messing around with my new neon nail polishes from American Apparel and started layering and mixing them and came up with this technique to create a really cool ombre effect. I'm pretty sure you can use any nail polish to do this- instructions below :). 1. Paint your choice of base colour using two coats. 2. Paint a thick strip of the of the other colour on a third of your nail while the base coat is still slightly damp. (see first pic) 3. Use your base colour and paint on top of half of your strip and go along nail to create the ombre effect! You can keep painting until you achieve the desired effect as it will take a few attempts to get it right but at least you don't have to remove it to make any corrections! Then use Seche Vite Top coat to create a glossy manicure!   DSC07840 copy   DSC07864 DSC07870   Today was my first day off in a while so I chilled out, cure clinic did some stuff for my blog and painted my nail! I teamed my new white neoprene sweater with a white turtle neck crop and gold necklace; I'm so rubbish with accessories and would have preferred a chunky silver piece but hey! I love my new white leather skirt because of the silk organza slip which makes the whole look more futuristic. Teamed with my silk Nike Air Royals and my Klear Klutch I feel my outfit for my agencies end of fashion week party is clean and chic. As the saying goes "if it ain't white it ain't right" haha. DSC07779cc DSC07791 DSC07795 During New York fashion week I walked for a lot of shows and some of the designers paid in trade. Trade is when the designer gives you some of their previous collection for free either as part of your pay or as your entire pay. It's usually from their previous season and I was allowed to pick from one to five pieces or was just given pieces. I accumulated an entire suitcase of clothes from trade alone! Some of the items are to die for and others not so much but I thought I'd show you a few of the bits I picked up from New York! I love these shoes by Rachel Comey because they're a mix between a lace up shoe and a slip on. The leather is beautiful and brought to life by the white base making them quirky and unique; definitely my type of my shoe. DSC07819   This bag was a gift to all the models who did the Jeremy Scott show and its a limited edition collaboration with Longchamp! It's crazy and cool and gives me such good memories of the show. Its the weekend size so I'll be using it for my long weekends away! DSC07824   These trousers are by Creatures of Comfort and the colour is amazing! They fit me so well and I can't wait to find the perfect look for them! DSC07835   This cardigan by Band of Outsiders is a comfy, prescription cool knit. I actually haven't bought a cardigan in years so I was happy to find this in the goodie bag they gave to the models after the show! DSC07830   Thee trousers by Marissa Webb are totally out of the box for me lol. Leather trousers have never really picked up on my radar before but I picked these because they have a kind of biker look to them which adds a more masculine feel making them feel more me! DSC07827
